FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Fort Bragg soldiers who are deployed can send free singing Valentine's Day messages to their spouses.

The Fayetteville Observer reports the Golf Capital Chorus of Pinehurst is offering free singing Valentine's Day messages this year.

Dirk Curl with the chorus says the messages will be delivered Friday and Saturday.

The retired Army colonel says this year's Valentines includes a barbershop quartet that will perform two love songs and provide a rose, a box of chocolates and a card from deployed service member.

Curl said the chorus also offers the services to civilians for $50. The proceeds go to children's charities.

The Golf Capital Chorus of Pinehurst has offered singing Valentines for a dozen years. It began offering free Valentines to troops' families about six years ago.
