A soldier's child was almost kidnapped near Fort Hood, Texas, last week, and authorities are warning area families to be on the lookout.

The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command said the attempted abduction occurred Oct. 1 in the Montague Village on-post housing area on Fort Hood between 5 and 6 p.m., according to local media reports. CID on Wednesday released this a sketch of the suspect.

Authorities say the male suspect is estimated to be 30 to 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with dark hair and dark eyes. He was last seen driving a white van with no distinct markings.

It is unknown whether the suspect has ties to the Army, or to the family of the child.

Local law enforcement and the FBI are also looking into the incident.
