Soldier found dead on Fort Rucker

A 23-year-old flight student at Fort Rucker was found dead Wednesday afternoon, according to officials at the Alabama installation.

Second Lt. Samuel Diehl, of St. Louis, was found shortly after lunch at his home on post, said Jim Hughes, a Fort Rucker spokesman.

Hughes said no other details were available at this time.

The cause of death is under investigation by Fort Rucker Military Police and Criminal Investigation Division.
