Two soldiers are still in care at a Miami-area hospital a week after three members of the U.S. Army Parachute Team were injured in a Feb. 12 training accident, according to an Army Recruiting Command spokeswoman.

Both soldiers were initially listed in critical condition after being airlifted to the medical center, with a third who was in serious condition. The third has since been released from the hospital, Kelli Bland told Army Times on Tuesday.

One of the soldiers initially listed in critical condition has since been upgraded to serious condition, she said.

“One soldier remains in critical condition and one is now in serious condition,” she said.

The team members, who are based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, were injured in an early morning jump incident at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida, then airlifted to Jackson Memorial hospital.

Meghann Myers is the Pentagon bureau chief at Military Times. She covers operations, policy, personnel, leadership and other issues affecting service members.
