The Army plans 632 promotions in September to the ranks of chief warrant officer three through colonel for Regular Army and Army Reserve Active Guard and Reserve officers.

In the Regular Army, there will be 51 advancements to colonel, 106 to lieutenant colonel, 178 to major, 156 to captain, two to chief warrant officer five, 31 to chief warrant officer four, and 68 to chief warrant officer three. That's a total of 592 advancements.

Officer promotion orders will be available no later than Aug. 25, according to Human Resources Command.

The Army also plans 40 promotions to the ranks of major through colonel for Army Reserve AGR officers.

There will be four advancements to colonel, 21 to lieutenant colonel and 15 to major.
