First Judicial Circuit

  • On Sept. 8 at a general court-martial at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, a sergeant first class was acquitted by a military judge of one specification of conspiracy, four specifications of selling military property, three specifications of larceny of military property, and one specification of housebreaking.
  • On Sept. 16 at a general court-martial at Fort Campbell, Staff Sgt. Gabriel A. Alvarado was convicted by a military panel of one specification of violating a general regulation. He was acquitted of two specifications of abusive sexual contact. The panel sentenced Alvarado to be reduced to the grade of E-4.
  • On Sept. 20 at a general court-martial at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Sgt. Brandon K. Murray was convicted by a military judge of two specification of aggravated assault upon a child. The military judge sentenced Murray to be reprimanded, to be reduced to the grade of E-1, and to be confined for two years.
  • On Sept. 21 at a special court-martial at Fort Drum, New York, Spc. Curtis M. Gillis was convicted by a military panel of one specification of conspiring to sell military property and one specification of selling military property. Gillis was acquitted of one specification of larceny of military property. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-3 and to forfeit $1,000.00 pay per month for two months.
  • On Sept. 22 at a special court-martial at Fort Campbell, Staff Sgt. Eleuterio J. Gallegos was convicted by a military judge of one specification of dereliction of duty, one specification of false official statement, and one specification of obstructing justice. Gallegos was acquitted of one specification of false official statement and one specification of destroying military property. He was sentenced to be reprimanded, to be reduced to the grade of E-4, to forfeit $1,000.00 pay per month for two months, and to perform hard labor without confinement for 60 days.
  • On Sept. 26 at a special court-martial at Fort Campbell, Pvt. Christian Romeropacheco was convicted by a military judge of one specification of absence without leave. He was sentenced to be confined for 60 days and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 26 at a special court-martial at Fort Drum, Spc. Robert T. Carlisle was convicted by a military judge of two specifications of conspiring to sell military property, one specification of selling military property, and one specification of larceny of military property. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $500.00, and to be confined for 21 days.
  • On Sept. 27 at a general court-martial at Fort Lesley J. McNair, District of Columbia, a chief warrant officer two was acquitted by a military panel of two specifications of sexual assault.
  • On Sept.  28 at a general court-martial at Fort Drum, Spc. Sophannayanarath Choun was convicted by a military panel of one specification of abusive sexual contact. Choun was acquitted of one specification of abusive sexual contact, one specification of sexual assault, and one specification of assault consummated by a battery. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-2, to forfeit $500.00 pay per month for three months, to be restricted to the limits of Fort Drum for 60 days except for religious services and military duties, and to perform hard labor without confinement for 60 days.
  • On Sept. 29 at a general court-martial at Fort Lesley J. McNair, Staff Sgt. Randy R. Gustafson was convicted by a military judge of one specification of larceny. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit all pay and allowances, to be confined for five months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.

Second Judicial Circuit

  • On Sept. 1 at a general court-martial at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Sgt. Adrian E. Durazo was convicted by a military judge of two specifications of wrongfully possessing a controlled substance and eleven specifications of wrongfully soliciting another to distribute a controlled substance. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 12 months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 10 months.
  • On Sept. 6 at a special court-martial at Fort Bragg, Pvt. James L. Switalski was convicted by a military judge of one specification of absence without leave. He was sentenced to forfeit $1,104 in pay per month for five months, to be confined for five months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 7 at a general court-martial at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Pfc. Kevin L. West was convicted by a military judge of three specifications of sexual abuse of a child, two specifications of knowingly receiving child pornography, and one specification of enticing a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit all pay and allowances, to be confined for three years, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.
  • On Sept. 9 at a special court-martial at Fort Benning, Georgia, Sgt. 1st Class Ronnie J. Percy was convicted by a military judge of four specifications of false official statement and one specification of wearing an unauthorized insignia. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-5 and to forfeit $250 in pay per month for six months.
  • On Sept. 10 at a general court-martial at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, Spc. Taylor L. Werner was convicted by a military judge of one specification of wrongfully using cocaine and one specification of possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $500 in pay per month for 24 months, to be confined for 24 months, and to be discharged from service with a bad-conduct discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 18 months.
  • On Sept. 15 at a general court-martial at Fort Bragg, a master sergeant was acquitted by a military panel of one specification of disrespecting a commissioned officer, one specification of violating a general order, one specification of false official statement, one specification of rape, one specification of aggravated sexual assault, one specification of simple assault, one specification of adultery, and one specification of incest.
  • On Sept. 23 at a general court-martial at Fort Stewart, Spc. Dominique D. Goldsborough was convicted by a military panel of one specification of disobeying a commissioned officer. He was acquitted of one specification of false official statement, two specifications of sexual assault, one specification of aggravated assault, and two specifications of assault consummated by a battery. Goldsborough was sentenced to be reprimanded and to be reduced to the grade of E-3.
  • On Sept. 28 at a general court-martial at Fort Gordon, Georgia, Spc. Joshua W. James was convicted by a military judge of one specification of viewing child pornography and one specification of possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit all pay and allowances, to be confined for five months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.

Third Judicial Circuit

  • On Sept. 7 at a special court-martial at Fort Riley, Kansas, Pvt. Julio L. Vanderhorst was convicted by a military judge of three specifications of absence without leave. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 142 days, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 90 days.
  • On Sept. 7 at a general court-martial at Fort Hood, Texas, Pvt. Marcus A. Barksdale was convicted by a military judge of four specifications of disobeying a commissioned officer, one specification of disobeying a lawful order, two specifications of assault consummated by a battery, and one specification of obstructing justice. He was acquitted of one specification of false official statement and one specification of sexual assault. He was sentenced to be confined for eight months and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 9 at a general court-martial at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Pfc. Stephon D. Threat was convicted by a military judge of one specification of involuntary manslaughter, one specification of negligent homicide, and two specifications of obstructing justice. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 10 years, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to six years.
  • On Sept. 12 at a special court-martial at Fort Hood, Pvt. Jaclyn J. Linson was convicted by a military judge of three specifications of desertion. She was sentenced to forfeit $1,043 in pay per month for five months, to be confined for five months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 90 days.
  • On Sept. 13 at a general court-martial at Fort Sill, a sergeant was acquitted by a military judge of one specification of distributing child pornography and two specifications of possessing child pornography.
  • On Sept. 14 at a general court-martial at Fort Hood, Spc. Anthony L. Moore was convicted by a military judge of one specification of assault consummated by a battery. He was sentenced to be confined for five months and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 16 at a general court-martial at Fort Sill, Spc. Jenea R. Knight was convicted by a military judge of three specifications of wrongful appropriation and seven specifications of identity theft. Contrary to her plea, Knight was convicted of one specification of false official statement. She was acquitted of one specification of obstructing justice. She was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for one year, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 20 at a special court-martial at Fort Riley, Pfc. Sean L. Tillman was convicted by a military judge of one specification of drunken operation of a vehicle. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $1,044 in pay per month for one month, and to be confined for 180 days. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 60 days.
  • On Sept. 22 at a general court-martial at Fort Hood, Pvt. Clarence P. Williams was convicted by a military judge of two specifications of sexual assault and one specification of assault consummated by a battery. He was acquitted of three specifications of sexual assault. He was sentenced to be confined for four years and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.
  • On Sept. 28 at a special court-martial at Fort Riley, Spc. Richard D. Dudding was convicted by a military judge of one specification of assault consummated by a battery. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E- 3 and to be confined for 45 days.

Fourth Judicial Circuit

  • On Sept. 1 at a special court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Pvt. Edward T. Johnson was convicted by a military judge of one specification of false official statement, one specification of unlawful entry, and one specification of larceny. He was sentenced to be confined for 30 days and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 7 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Staff Sgt. Wayne M. Diaz was convicted by a military judge of two specifications of soliciting soldiers to commit larceny. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for six months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 13 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Sgt. Michael A. Knopik was convicted by a military judge of one specification of assault consummated by a battery, one specification of wrongfully viewing the private area of another without consent, and one specification of wrongfully recording the private area of another without consent. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 25 months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 24 months.
  • On Sept. 14 at a special court-martial at Fort Carson, Colorado, Sgt. 1st Class Sean W. Westerman was convicted by a military judge of one specification of false official statement and one specification of wrongfully disposing of government property. He was sentenced to be reprimanded, to forfeit $2,200 in pay per month for two months, and to perform hard labor without confinement for two months.
  • On  Sept. 14 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Spc. Cristian Sanchez was convicted by a military judge of one specification of conspiracy and four specifications of wrongfully distributing controlled substances. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 27 months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad conduct discharge. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 24 months.
  • On Sept. 15 at a general court-martial at Fort Bliss, Texas, Staff Sgt. Roger J. Ramirez was convicted by a military judge of five specifications of sexual assault, three specifications of assault consummated by a battery, and one specification of communicating a threat. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for nine years, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.
  • On Sept. 15 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Pfc. Nicholas W. Souza was convicted by a military judge of one specification of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, one specification of wrongfully possessing a controlled substance, and four specifications of wrongfully distributing controlled substances. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 23 months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 22 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a sergeant was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of one specification of sexual assault.
  • On Sept. 26 at a special court-martial at Fort Irwin, California, Pvt. Ryan S. Johnson was convicted by a military judge of one specification of absence without leave and one specification of missing movement. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 10 months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
  • On Sept. 29 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a major was acquitted by a military panel of one specification of abusive sexual contact and one specification of conduct unbecoming an officer.
  • On Sept. 30 at a special court-martial at Camp Casey, Korea, a sergeant first class was acquitted by a military panel of two specifications of maltreatment.
  • On Sept. 30 at a general court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Sgt. Robert L. Atkinson was convicted by a military panel of one specification of rape of a child and one specification of sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 32 years, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.
  • On Sept. 30 at a general court-martial at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Spc. Isiah K. Hall was convicted by a military judge of four specifications of aggravated assault, two specifications of assault consummated by a battery, three specifications of assault consummated by a battery upon a child, one specification of sexual abuse of a child, one specification of aggravated assault, seven specifications of assault consummated by a battery, one specification of assault consummated by a battery upon a child, and one specification of simple assault. He was acquitted of one specification of rape, two specifications of rape of a child, three specifications of assault consummated by a battery, and two specifications of assault consummated by a battery upon a child. Hall was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 11 years, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.

Fifth Judicial Circuit

  • On Sept. 9 at a general court-martial convened at Wiesbaden, Germany, Pfc. Michael J. Nard was convicted by a military judge of one specification of failure to obey a lawful order. He was acquitted by a military panel of one specification of sexual assault and one specification of abusive sexual contact. He was sentenced to be reprimanded.
  • On Sept. 14 at a general court-martial at Kaiserslautern, Germany, a specialist was acquitted by a military judge of one specification of false official statement.
  • On Sept. 16 at a general court-martial at Vilseck, Germany, a first lieutenant was acquitted by a military panel of one specification of wrongfully using a controlled substance.
