Newest class of West Point cadets ends 6 weeks of training

WEST POINT, N.Y. — The new class of West Point cadets is finishing summer training with a 12-mile march.

The U.S. Military Academy's Class of 2020 will begin marching from Camp Buckner to West Point before sunrise Monday. The long march marks the end of six weeks of intense training designed to acclimate the new cadets to the rigors of military life.

They will officially be accepted into the Corps of Cadets during a parade at West Point on Saturday
