The Government Accountability Office found no fault with the Army's pick of AM General for the mega-deal. The Army has chosen for the first time to name a vehicle after a soldier who served post-9/11. The vehicle is also named for a World War II soldier. The report alleged that Cutrone made multiple employees cry. If poorly maintained howitzers from Kuwait stock were sent directly to Ukraine, it "would have killed somebody," a DoD inspector general report found. When the national COVID-19 emergency ended earlier this month, about $2.1 billion in extra money for veterans support remained unused.
