LINCOLN, Neb. — Authorities say a Nebraska Army National Guard soldier died after his motorcycle collided with a small sport utility vehicle in south Lincoln.
The collision occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the woman driving the SUV south didn't yield to the northbound motorcycle at an intersection. She told police she didn't see the motorcycle. Police say citations are pending.
Police identified the motorcyclist as 22-year-old Triston Grieser, who lived in Lincoln. He was an infantryman assigned to C Troop of the 1st Squadron of the 134th Cavalry, which is based in Beatrice. He’d enlisted in 2014.
