With the motorcycle show season in high gear, it's time to highlight some new women's and men's gear that's arrived for review.
We're hitting the road hard this month, with a solid agenda of riding in store for new items from Aether Apparel, Stylmartin, Shark Helmets and Roland Sands Design.
Here's a preview of four new products we've received and plan to test over the next few months, with complete reviews to follow in the late spring.
Made of Napa leather and designed with D3O back, shoulder, and elbow protection, the Aether Arrow women's leather jacket has a tapered back and longer sleeves for proper riding fit and looks worthy of any LA or NYC party. XXS, S, M, L sizes.
Breathable made-in-Europe urban shoes with oilskin leather inserts and stout ankle protection on both sides. CE certified. Unisex European sizing from 36-47.
The Shark Vancore Flare urban helmet (Shark Helmets)
Call it an urban hooligan helmet; I call it clever and stylish. With an integrated quick-release goggle system (double anti-fog and anti-scratch visor by Carl Zeiss), the aerodynamic outer shell cuts a slimmer profile while the marble graphics incite conversation at the gas station. XS, S, M, L, XL sizes.
The Roland Sands Design Hefe jacket (Roland Sands Design)
With a waxed-denim/Kevlar vest and removable armored leather sleeves, the Hefe is a versatile and protective jacket suitable for almost any bike. It looks pedestrian, but it's a full-on protective jacket with pre-curved sleeves and a pocket for back protection, sold separately. S, M, L, 2XL, 3XL sizes, in indigo or black.
