Companies with commercial experience want to show the Army how capable electric-powered vehicles can be and overcome the challenges of operating them on the battlefield. The rest of the Army will see fielding begin in mid-2022. Thousands of the new networked goggles have been fielded in the Army. Marines chose a different option. Lawmakers expressed concerns that vehicles and equipment left behind for partners could end up in the hands of enemies instead.
