Sgt. Daniel Perry's attorney has said the soldier was working for a ride-sharing company and acted in self-defense after a protester pointed a gun at him.
Lawyers for the two soldiers told Army Times that they asked the president to disapprove the findings in one case and dismiss the charges in the other.
