China has showcased new types of missiles and unmanned platforms for the first time at a military parade in its capital to mark the 70th anniversary of its founding.
To boost American morale in the face of a rising China and resurgent Russia, some pundits point to the U.S. military’s surplus of combat experience and large-scale logistical expertise in massing forces.
China began construction of the base in March last year after it secured of a 10-year lease for what it had said will be a logistics support base used to resupply ships taking part in peacekeeping and humanitarian missions in the Gulf of Aden and Arabian Sea.
