Two Army soldiers stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, were found dead Sunday night in their off-post apartment in Hinesville.

The Hinesville Police Department received an anonymous tip that there were two men dead inside the apartment, according to CBS affiliate WTOC 11. The Liberty County Coroner identified the two men as 21-year-old Malika Jackson and 23-year-old Marquez Brown.

Hinesville Police Capt. Chris Reid told WTOC 11 that the deaths have been ruled suspicious and that the two men do not appear to have died from natural causes.

“We can confirm the two individuals found dead in a Hinesville apartment Sunday night by Hinesville police are Fort Stewart soldiers,” said Kevin Larson of the Fort Stewart Public Affairs Office.

The Army is cooperating with local law enforcement officials in the investigation. No additional information has been made available.
