Whoops? Transport plane’s cargo comes within feet of a Russian Su-30SM mid-flight

Talk about tailgating.

In a video that has made the rounds in the past few weeks, crew of a Russian transport plane released their cargo seconds before a fighter jet appears outside, just feet from the open ramp.

The Russian government-connected news website RT identifies the figher jet as a Su-30SM and the transport plane as “probably an Il-76.”

Is the video real? RT seems to think so, saying that indications show that the “stunt was planned.”

Given that, was the stunt brave or just dangerous and stupid?
