Ramping up the rivalry ahead of the Army-Navy football game this weekend, West Point has released not just a spirit video, but a short film to get cadets pumped up.

The 10-minute video features multiple members of the school’s leadership, including the superintendent and commandant, as they aim to “massacre Midshipmen morale” via a mission behind enemy lines ... to capture the Navy’s goat mascot.

The video includes helicopters, special effects and even weaponized knife hands. It also includes a goat, though West Point spokeswoman Theresa Brinkerhoff said it was not one of the Navy’s goats.

“We had an opportunity to step outside of the box to create something different than we’ve done previously, and everyone here was on board” with the video, Brinkerhoff told Army Times.

The public affairs team benefited from scheduled practice and training missions. For example, they used the parachute team’s practice times to gather the helicopter footage, she said.

The Black Knights beat the Midshipmen 21-17 last year to end Navy’s 14-game rivalry win streak.
