A 15-year-old allegedly shot and killed a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, on Sunday after a domestic dispute, local media reported.

Pfc. MarStratton Gordon, 23, was visiting his girlfriend in Harriman, Tennessee -- about a three-hour drive east from Fort Campbell -- at the time of the incident, The Knoxville News-Sentinel reported, citing a news release from the local attorney general's office.

Further details on the shooting weren't released, nor was the name of the suspect, who WBIR-TV reported is Gordon's girlfriend's brother.

The soldier's half-sister told WBIR-TV that Gordon had mentioned the suspect had multiple weapons, but did not express concern.

Gordon, who was from Lithonia, Georgia, was a motor transport operator with the 101st Airborne Division's Sustainment Brigade.

He joined the Army in November 2014 and had been assigned to Fort Campbell since March 2015. He was single.

The local police, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and local attorney general's office are investigating the incident, local media reported. An email to Army Criminal Investigation Command seeking comment was not immediately returned.
