Police: 2 arrested in Michigan guardsman’s carjack slaying

Police haven't identified the 20-year-old victim. They tell the Detroit Free Press that two people approached him Monday night and demanded his car.

Sgt. Eren Stephens tells The Detroit News that a struggle ensued and the man was shot.

Sgt. Michael Woody says the suspects are a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman. There's no immediate word on the charges against them or when they'll be in court.

Police say they've recovered the soldier's car.
