A nomination list containing the names of Regular Army lieutenant colonels recommended for promotion to colonel by a board that met in the spring will be released Aug. 25.
The fiscal 2015 Army Competitive Category colonel list was compiled by a board that met April 22-May 8. The list must be confirmed by the Senate, which is in recess until after Sept. 7, before the Army can schedule promotions.
The primary zone for this year's O-6 board included lieutenant colonels of the Operations, Operations Support and Force Sustainment functional categories with O-5 dates of rank of Sept.1, 2010, through Aug. 31, 2011. The below-zone window included officers with DOR of
Sept. 1, 2011, through July 31, 2013.
Sept. 1 promotions will reduce the 2014 ACC colonel list to 100 names.
